LINDEN LC1 / S1, VERSION 1
All places, values, participants and observations are invented.

LC1: use a scale, compare two supplied route lengths, describe relative position and read rainfall with its units. This task does not assess eyesight, pointer precision, decoding a particular font or memory. Different access routes must provide the same essential evidence. The teacher decides whether a real adaptation changes a different actual objective.

S1: east increases x; north increases y. One grid unit represents 0.5 kilometres. School=(0,0), Library=(2,2), Park=(4,2). The river follows y=1 and flows west to east. Bridges are at (0,1) and (4,1).
Route A: from School, north 2 grid units across the west bridge, then east 2 to Library. Total 4 grid units.
Route B: from School, east 4 grid units, north 2 across the east bridge to Park, then west 2 to Library. Total 8 grid units.
These are schematic distances. There is no supplied terrain, travel-time or safety evidence. Do not turn the result into a real route recommendation.

Invented monthly rainfall: April 20 mm, May 35 mm, June 25 mm.
I1: grid map. I2: route comparison in grid units. I3: rainfall bar chart in mm. I4: ordered route-calculation process.
I4 order: read grid-unit total; multiply by 0.5 km per unit; label kilometre result; compare and state the source limitation.

Fictional pilot data for a denominator exercise only: six attempts, four independent completions, one completion after a facilitator supplies a missing unit, one incomplete attempt. No actual learner result is represented.

Worked numerical guide: A=4*0.5=2 km; B=8*0.5=4 km; difference=2 km. Library is two grid units east and two north of School and two west of Park. Rainfall total=80 mm; May-April difference=15 mm. Independent pilot completion=4/6, approximately 66.7 percent, with assisted and incomplete categories retained. These facts do not prove real learning impact or universal access.
