Monocular depth lab
Turn one photograph into an estimated depth map, entirely on your device.
How this experiment works
Depth Anything V2 small predicts a dense depth field from a single image. The displayed map normalises those estimates.
What it does not prove
Monocular depth is relative and ambiguous. Brightness does not represent calibrated metres.
Try this challenge
Try reflections or a printed photograph of a room. Where does the depth illusion break?
